The Cisco Nexus Series switches are modular and fixed port network switches designed for the data center. The first chassis in the Nexus 7000 family is a 10-slot chassis with two supervisor engine slots and eight I/O module slots at the front, as well as five crossbar switch fabric modules at the rear. Cisco uBR7200 Series Universal Broadband Routers
The Cisco uBR7246VXR supports dual current-sharing power supplies and online insertion and removal (OIR) so that interfaces can be added, removed, or replaced without service interruption. A PC flash memory card enhances reliability by storing backup software images and configuration files. Environmental monitors have levels of escalation so operators can take corrective action prior to any system shutdown. All components are replaceable in the field.
